BREW
PROJECT
BREW is a social initiative dedicated to empowering asylum seekers and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing professional barista training and certification. By equipping participants with essential skills and industry-recognised credentials, the project opens doors to employment opportunities, helping them build a more stable and self-sufficient future.
The visual identity of BREW is designed to reflect the heart of the initiative—transformation, craftsmanship, and journey. The bold logo draws inspiration from the fluid motion of latte art, symbolising both creativity and precision. This fluidity not only represents the artistry of coffee-making but also embodies the lasting imprint the program leaves on its trainees, reinforcing its meaningful impact.
The overall design system embraces organic, flowing forms that mirror the swirls of steamed milk in a cup of coffee, evoking a sense of warmth, movement, and growth. A rich and inviting color palette, combined with dynamic typography, creates a visual language that is both modern and human-centred, emphasizing inclusivity and opportunity. Through this identity, BREW communicates its mission with authenticity, celebrating the resilience and potential of those it supports.
Run by Kahaila Cafe and Three Cords Coffee in London UK, this project truly fosters community and resilience among their trainees.
